Chinese Fried Rice by The Greedy Fox is a perfect side dish for any Chinese banquet or even a meal in itself. So simple to make from scratch or a brilliant way to use up any leftovers you may have, using The Greedy Fox Chinese 5 Spice you are never far away from creating your own Chinese banquet.
2 bags of boil in the bag long grain/wholegrain or Brown rice Cooked and chilled.
1/2 Onion, chopped
50 gr Carrot cut into match sticks
1 Large free range egg, beaten
1-2 Tsp The Greedy Fox Chinese 5 spice
1-2 Tbsp sunflower oil
4 spring onion, chopped.
1 Tbsp Soy sauce
Heat oil in a Large wok or frying pan. When hot add onion and carrot cook for 2 mins.
Mix the egg with the sesame oil.
Next add the rice and cook to warm through stir through The Greedy Fox Chines 5 spice.
Pour the egg mix over the rice and leave for 1 min to let the egg set, when set add the soy sauce and stir to combine.
Add the spring onions and cook for a further 1 min.
Season with a little more soy sauce if needed.
Serve as a side dish to accompany your Chinese meal or as a main dish.
